CHRISTINA WALTON

 

Christina is known for her caring demeanour and genuine support for her clients. Her therapeutic approach is firmly grounded in her training in psychology; marriage and family therapy; and bereavement and loss counselling. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from McMaster University, a Masters in Theological Studies in Pastoral Counselling from Wilfrid Laurier University, and is a Licensed Funeral Director.

Christina is a member of the Ontario Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, a Registered Therapist and Clinical Fellow with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and has been a guest lecturer and speaker at McMaster University, Chedoke/Hamilton Health Sciences, Guidance Counsellors of Ontario, and on CHCH TV in Hamilton to name a few. She has written for the Hamilton Spectator, the Journal of Pastoral Care and the Canadian Funeral Director Magazine, in addition to many other publications. Christina is the Community Care Coordinator with PX Dermody Funeral Homes of Hamilton, and is the Clinical Director for Camp Erin, a children’s bereavement camp that is an initiative of the Moyer Foundation.
